Just Addictive Music is a specialist organisation that:

  • Creates and develops high quality arts projects, workshops and taster sessions that engage and inspire young people, including those classed as hard to reach, in conjunction with both artistic and non artistic organisations

  • Creates opportunities for young people from all backgrounds that would not normally have access to high quality arts events and activities

  • Has members including national and international musicians, performers, lyricists, poets, rappers, graffiti writers and artists producing collaborative projects, drawing on a wide range of ethnic background

Quality is assured at all stages of Just Addictive Music’s projects or workshops from planning to delivery and evaluation. All Just Addictive Music’s facilitators are working professionals in their own specialist field, with the skills needed to pass on their expertise to young people and encourage them to be creative. Young people take part in a high quality experience that gives them access to new cultures and new forms of artistic expression.

There are tangible outcomes to all of our projects. As well as exploring an issue and the chance for self-expression, young people gain musical and artistic skills. The outcomes could be a display of young people’s work, a drama, dance, or musical performance, a DVD, CD or downloadable file of their work.

Within our work we promote cultural awareness.

Through our projects, young people benefit from personalised learning that will broaden their horizons. They will develop confidence as individuals and an understanding and appreciation of self-management, communication skills and co-operative working methods.

All Artists are CRB checked and we have full insurance cover for all activities.

The main aim of Leeds celebrates will be to is to raise the profile of black music and culture and encourage diversity in its presentation. To achieve this aim we will be hosting events in City centre venues to gain maximum exposure along with locally events.

At Just Addictive Music we have over 2 decades of experience in creating new thrilling & innovative large or small events to educate and entertain audiences of all kind. We work with organisations of all types, community organisations with a small local festival or cultural event to medium sized venues presenting music or art events.

New Route radio was a project for young men living in Barnsley they took part in sessions covering MC skills, DJ’ing and music productions. They said that they wanted to show the listeners what it is like being a young male in Barnsley and to share some of the music that they enjoy with you!

Just Addictive Music’s music production workshops combine the creativity of young people with cutting edge digital music production equipment and the knowledge of skilled music professionals, to give participants the skills and confidence to explore and realise their musical ambitions.
