Project Title: Knottingley Canvases

Description: The youth centre in Knottingley had a pair of large plain canvases (3m x 1.5m) hanging from the wall. The Young Peoples Service commissioned visual artists from Just Addictive Music to explore issues of identity with the young people and use these canvases to produce a pair of matching Graffiti Art pieces. The group decided to spray a boy and girl; the boys designed the female figure and vice-versa.

Outcome: The participants aged 13 to 17 spent ten weeks designing and spraying the two large figures in the pictures.
